Your first booking, in 5 minutes
New to Your Day Schedule? Here's the fastest path from signup to a live booking page clients can schedule on. Each step links to a full guide if you want the detail.
Five steps and your booking page is live. Each step links to a full guide if you want more detail.
The 5-minute setup
- Create your account — sign up free, no card required. You'll land in your dashboard.
- Set your availability — Dashboard → Availability: your weekly hours (we pre-fill Mon–Fri 9–5), +break to split a day around lunch, buffers, and any days off. → Setting your availability
- Confirm your timezone and connect your calendar — same page: every slot a client sees is computed from your timezone, and connecting Google, Outlook, or iCloud blocks your existing events from double-booking. → Connect your calendar
- Create a meeting type — Dashboard → Booking pages → New: name it, pick a length and location, set a price or leave it free. → Create a meeting type
- Share your link — from Public booking page in the sidebar, copy your link (
yourdayschedule.com/book/<username>) and send it out, or use Recommend Meeting Times on your home dashboard to hand a client a few open slots directly.
That's it — clients can book you now.
Prefer being shown? The Set up YourDay card on your home dashboard walks you through each step with on-screen pointers, and tracks what's done. While setup is incomplete, a Getting started link also sits at the bottom of the sidebar (under Client portal) to bring the card back — hide or show it with the toggle in Settings → Notifications & Settings → Guided tour. Restart the walkthrough any time from that same Guided tour card.
Add video calls (optional)
Meet over video? Connect Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams so every booking gets a join link automatically. → Zoom guide
Get paid (optional)
To charge for meetings, connect Stripe or Square and set a price on your meeting type. → Getting paid
Turn on browser notifications (optional)
The first time you open the dashboard, a banner offers to turn on browser notifications — click Allow. While a YourDay tab is open, you'll get a desktop notification when a client books, cancels, or reschedules (click it to jump to your Inbox), 15 minutes before an external meeting if meeting prep is on, and if a recording is still running in the background. Dismissed it? Allow notifications for yourdayschedule.com in your browser's site settings. Everything still lands in your Inbox and email either way.
