Connect Stripe or Square in a few clicks, put a price on any meeting type, and Your Day Schedule collects payment at booking and pays out to your bank — no invoicing, no chasing.
Your Day Schedule processes payments through Stripe (recommended) or Square — your choice. Either way you keep your own account: money goes straight to you, and you can disconnect anytime. Setup takes a few minutes, once.
"Connected" vs. ready to charge: after onboarding, Stripe finishes verifying you in the background. Charging turns on only once your account shows charges enabled — usually within minutes, occasionally longer if Stripe requests more information. If it stalls, use Resume onboarding to finish any remaining step.
Prefer Square? Connect it instead:
With Square, clients pay on a Square-hosted payment page instead of Stripe Checkout, and you track payouts, balances, and fees from your Square dashboard. Everything else — pricing meeting types, booking confirmation, refunds from the Bookings page — works the same.
If you connect both Stripe and Square, Stripe is used for new payments.
A meeting type is only paid if it has a price. Free meeting types keep working exactly as before — this changes nothing about them.
The slot is held for ~35 minutes while a client checks out. If they don't finish, the hold releases automatically and the time frees up for someone else.
Payments land in your connected Stripe or Square account and pay out to your bank on the processor's schedule (typically a rolling few-day basis; the first payout can take a little longer). Track balances and payouts anytime from your Stripe Express dashboard or Square dashboard — the link appears under Settings → Billing & plan once you're connected.
The processor's fee (Stripe's or Square's) is deducted from each payment; you receive the net. Your Day Schedule doesn't take a cut of your bookings. Exact fees (and any cross-border / currency-conversion fees) are set by the processor and shown on every payment in its dashboard.
Refund a paid booking from Dashboard → Bookings — open the booking's Payment column and choose Refund. Refunds are full-only and go back to the client's original payment method.
Refunding an upcoming meeting also cancels it in the same step: the calendar event is removed, the client gets a cancellation email noting the refund, and your waitlist (if enabled) is told the spot opened up. Refunding a meeting that already happened just marks the payment refunded — nothing else changes.
Refunding from the Stripe or Square dashboard instead won't update the booking's status inside YourDay — always refund from Bookings → Payment so both stay in sync.
Stripe likely needs another detail before it enables charges. Open Settings → Billing & plan, click Resume onboarding (or open your Stripe dashboard), and complete any outstanding requirement. Charging switches on the moment Stripe marks your account charges enabled.
If your processor stops working — Stripe disabled the account, or the Square connection was revoked — clients booking a priced meeting type see "This host can't accept online payments right now" instead of getting the booking. That's deliberate: the alternative is a paid meeting coming through with nothing collected. You'll also find an inbox alert naming the meeting type.
Reconnect under Settings → Billing & plan (or Settings → Integrations for Square) and bookings resume immediately. Free meeting types keep working throughout.
If you set a price purely to display your rate and collect payment yourself, set the Price to 0 and state the fee in the meeting type description — a non-zero price always means "collect online" in YourDay.
This should resolve on its own — YourDay reconciles the payment automatically. If a booking stays unconfirmed after a completed payment, email us with the client name and time and we'll sort it right away.
No — Square works too; see Steps (Square) above. Stripe is the recommended processor, and if you connect both, Stripe is used.
