Create a meeting type
Meeting types are the services clients can book — a name, length, where you meet, and an optional price. Each one gets its own shareable booking link.
Meeting types live at Dashboard → Booking pages. Each one is a thing clients can book — a 30-minute intro call, a paid strategy session, an in-person consult — and each carries its own booking link.
Create a meeting type
- Open Booking pages and, in the meeting types list, click New.
- Fill in the details:
- Title — what clients see (e.g. "Strategy Session").
- URL slug — the last part of the booking link (e.g.
strategy-session).packagesis reserved for your package store, so pick anything else. - Duration — how long the meeting runs.
- Location — where you meet (see below).
- Price — leave at 0 for a free meeting, or set an amount to charge (see Getting paid).
- Description — a short line about what the meeting is for.
- Color — how it's tagged on your calendar.
- Save. The meeting type is now bookable.
Choose where you meet
Set Location to match how the meeting happens:
- Google Meet, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams — a unique video link is created automatically for every booking. The matching app must be connected first (Settings → Integrations; see the Zoom guide).
- In person — add the address in Location details (e.g. "123 Main St, Suite 4"); it's included in the confirmation and calendar invite.
- Phone — you'll call the client (or they call you) at the booked time.
- Custom — anything else; put the instructions in Location details.
Change the type on an existing booking
For an upcoming booking, open its details and choose Reschedule. Select a Meeting type, then choose the date and an available time and save. Available times use the new duration; the calendar details and the client's reschedule email use the new meeting type.
Both the current and new types must be free. Paid or refunded bookings, package bookings, parties larger than one, and bookings assigned to another host cannot switch. The new type must be active, single-host, and single-seat; round-robin and group types are not offered as destinations.
For video meetings, you can keep the same provider while changing type. You can also move a Zoom or Google Meet booking to a non-video location; moving away from Google Meet removes its conference link from the calendar invitation. Switching into a different video provider, or moving away from Teams, requires cancelling and creating a new booking.
Your booking link
Your links are built from your username (set under Booking pages, or in Settings → Account — lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens; changing it changes all your links):
- One meeting type:
yourdayschedule.com/book/<username>/<slug>— the direct link to schedule that specific meeting. - Your whole page:
yourdayschedule.com/book/<username>— lists all your active meeting types so clients pick one.
Copy a meeting type's direct link from the link button next to it. Your public page is also reachable from the sidebar's Public booking page entry. Prefer to keep booking on your own site? Follow the embed guide to find and paste the ready-made code.
To choose the image shown when someone shares your link, open Booking pages → Branding → Visual → Link preview image. Use a 1200×630 image and keep important content near the centre, since some apps crop previews. Without a custom image, the preview uses your logo when available, otherwise the YourDay card. Sharing apps cache previews, so an already-shared link may keep its old image for a while.
Share the specific meeting-type link when you want a client to book one thing, and your whole-page link on your website or email signature so people can choose.
Active, Hidden, or Draft
Each meeting type shows a status:
- Active — live on your public page and bookable.
- Hidden from public page — bookable by its direct link only; it isn't listed on your public page. Great for private or invite-only sessions.
- Draft — not active, not bookable yet.
Manual approval is not currently available. Free bookings confirm when accepted; paid bookings confirm after payment and booking verification.
If something's off
A meeting type isn't on my public page
Check its status — it must be Active and not Hidden from public page. Drafts and hidden types never appear in the public list (hidden ones still work by direct link).
Bookings aren't getting a video link
Confirm two things: the meeting type's Location is set to Google Meet / Zoom / Teams, and that app is connected under Settings → Integrations.
A paid meeting type isn't charging
You need a payment processor connected — Stripe (with charges enabled) or Square — see Getting paid.
